my guy then, still my guy now.
doesn’t feel like almost 9 years have passed us by. doesn’t feel like any time has passed at all.
we passed some kids walking home to his old house near our high school, a young boy and a young girl running from the school to his front yard. we watched them remember the times we did the exact same thing. i’d wait for him by the band room and we’d walk to his house after all the shit traffic died down. when i finally got a car he was so happy he didn’t have to walk anymore. we said they probably made the mistake of walking to the 7/11 because it’s “so close” too, but in reality it’s a two hour walk lol. those kids are living the same life we lived in that house like 9 years ago.
